Hi, I have been the victim of fake Golf Pride Grips. I was lucky enough to get my money back from the seller but I wish to share my knowledge so other people can recognise them - A) The first thing I noticed about the fake grips was they did not have the tacky feel in the soft red rubber part. There meant to be multi compound and the fakes were just the same compound. B) The seller sent me an extra grip by mistake so I putt onto the club and all the colours started running off onto my handRead More...
I have recently purchased an Odyssey White Hot XG Sabertooth Putter. The putter turned out to be a fake. This was confirmed by Callaway Customer Services. I cannot stress enough, if you are thinking about buying ANY golf club, PLEASE ask the seller for the serial number of the club and check it out with the manufacturer. Please also bear in mind though that the smarter scammer can always clone genuine serial numbers, so even this is no guarentee. the seller was retailersmk90 and email addressRead More...
Dont be fooled by a cheap deal on ebay with the callaway x20s. I perchused these for £198 thinking they were the real deal but when i saw that they were from china i soon thought there could be a possibilty of them being fakes. I then compared the clubs with various pictures online and thought there were a few different things on the club from: the face of the club, this is coloured in black when it should be white. Also the grip was a touch different. There should also be a serial nRead More...

Well I did, but I was wrong, and so will you be if you follow suit. Hi There are a lot of fake clubs for sale on e-bay and it is very difficult to tell which is genuine, you have to look for very small detail differences and some major ones to know if the clubs are genuine. A few months ago I purchased some Callaway fusion Irons.( full retail price is over £1000) The heads on the genuine clubs are made up of a mixture of exotic alloys including the face of the club being titanium, hence the high price, The major difference is that the fake clubs are made of Read More...
