I have great experience with Ebay. Just bought a new (used) Lob Wedge couple a weeks ago. The Wedge is perfect, and the whole transaction was great. Item arrived on time. The seller is independent seller (his score around 100), no shop or high volume seller.
If you are on “budget”, like me, and still want to get decent equipment, Ebay is great place. Ofcourse, be careful, like everywhere there are some scam artists on Ebay that are selling “brand new Callaway X-18 irons”, or some other great clubs for $139. That should be your “Red Flag”. You can’t find cheap, brand name clubs nowhere, even used ones, not only on Ebay, nowhere! For sure those clubs are knockoffs!
Second reply:
There is no way to tell there are so many. Some companys sell on ebay so if you see if there a store or have great feed back you should be okay.
Third reply:
Not that many look for a seller with alot of feedback and a good score. Read some of the sellers feedback and look for fast shipping and item as desscribed and you will be fine.
Forth reply:
Who really knows. I have heard of so many scams on EBay that I wouldn’t touch the site with a ten foot pole. So with no interest I rest my case.
