About 2 years ago, I bought a Tiffany heart bracelet off of Ebay. The gal stated that she sold it at a discount price and everything was legitimate Tiffany. The bracelet even came with the box. What I didn’t know is that a real box will also have a blue pouch with it, the one I bought didn’t. So, being the naive person that I am, I purchased the heart bracelet. I loved it, so much I bought my mother in law a ring ,a bracelet, a necklace, and I bought several other pieces from the same person. More »

I genuinely despise sellers who claim that their Tiffany products are authentic with fake certificates, pouches, boxes and etc. Especially when buyers use hundreds of dollars to purchase them, if you are paying hundreds of dollars, you might as well buy it from the retail shop! From personal experience in that I purchase Tiffany jewellery from the retail shops, this is the most questionable flaw I have noted… More »

How to tell the Tiffany’s items you are interested in are genuine could be very tricky. The key is to compare, compare and compare! Genuine Tiffany’s items usually come from the independent seller, eBay consigner, or estate auctioneer. There is no such thing as a “Tiffany Outlet.” So never buy from seller who are selling 5 or more pieces at the same time. Also being the most renowned jewelry maker, Tiffany does not do OEM in any other country. More »

HOW TO AVOID FAKE SIGNED JEWELRY
After a long time watching how eBay sellers get away with fakes, I have decided to write something about it.
Fake pieces are all over, online and on 47th street. I have even heard a rumor of one eBayer that specializes in fake signed pieces on 47th street (either 15 west 47th or 36 west) but I have never met the guy, so it’s only a rumor. More »

1. A picture IS worth 1000 words. It’s old-fashioned, but people still like to see things before they buy them. For successful eBay selling, make sure any products you list on eBay are accompanied by professional quality photographs.

2. Do your eBay research. When selling on eBay, before you list a particular product, spend some time researching other similar products on eBay and following the bidding process. This will help you gauge the interest for your product and help you determine how much your product might be worth. More »

There is nothing quite like silver on lace under candlelight. If you enjoy the bling and elegance of antique sterling silver and silverplate, whether for your interior decor or table service, you can often find it in plentiful supply at reasonable prices at estate auctions. Here are a few tips to help the novice decide which pieces are worth buying and what to leave behind.

1. TARNISH Don’t be afraid of tarnish, even black tarnish. Tarnish alone is not bad, it just hurts your arm as it may need some serious, More »

HI!!

I have watched the auctions for Tiffany & Co. jewelry for several years – I get sooooooo upset when I see people paying hundreds for items that are not authentic. I see it all the time with the designer purses too.

I have quite a bit of knowledge of the authentic and fake Tiffany – so hopefully these will help you – More »

There are great guides by other eBay members about examining fake Tiffany. I am adding a few things that I found out on my own to supplement that information. Some of the extra information I am listing here is not found in ANY of the other guides I have read so please read! I am very detail oriented (as a future lawyer, I must be!). Unfortunately, it is all based on my personal experience of buying fake items here on eBay (unknown to me at the time of course) and authentic items at the Tiffany store (yesterday was my first time ever going to one!). I hope that I can save you from the trouble I went through. More »

Sadly, the overwhelming majority of Tiffany Heart Tag Toggle necklaces for sale on eBay are FAKE. These fakes are bringing high dollars to the unscrupulous sellers which encourages them to continue selling the fakes regardless of eBay’s policy against the sale of counterfeit merchandise.
We, as buyers, need to educate ourselves to the differences between authentic and counterfeit merchandise BEFORE we spend our hard earned dollars on these scams. Fortunately there are telltale signs that can help us distinguish the differences so that we can make good buying decisions and save the frustration, disappointment and loss of money spent on these fakes.
