Buying Iphones and Cect phones make sure you can tell the difference between the two. And theres also a copy of a Cect sciphone. Make sure you can tell the difference between those. Cect phone when it starts up it says Sciphone and shows a picture of the world, a fake one just shows the world. That’s a buying guide. You can get a really good used Iphone for 240-300US(New/Like new add 100-150). A new Sciphone i68+ cost around 150-200US. If it’s below 100, it’s probably a fakRead More...

After looking around I found a good price ($130) on a sciphone i68 and ordered it. The phone came from China and arrived within a week by priority mail. Unfortunately the phone wasn’t quite what I was hoping for. Unlike the P168i you cannot change the start up or shutdown screens. There is no way to change or add moving gif. images. Also you cannot change, add or delete wallpaper. I also didn’t see where I could change the backgrounds on menus. According to the start up guide, thiRead More...

I’ve owned couple different Nokia cell phones.  Usually the cell phone itself could last forever, only thing that goes wrong is the batteries have reached their end of life cycle.  Then it is time to buy a new battery.  Genuine Nokia batteries usually costs $40-60 at most retail locations.  So I went on to eBay in hope of finding “Genuine Nokia at eBay Price”. It seems like that most sellers on eBay are selling off brand generic replacement batteries.  Since I do not trRead More...

Recently among the business community the new fashion came out: the most expensive mobile phones, as a part of business image. Those who can afford- I mean multi millioners, they buy Vertu, Mobiado, the middle class businessman, who are the majority, stick to Nokia 8800 Sirocco. All this fashion triggers the Chinese manufacturers to produce the fake/copy/replica of the mentioned model. Actually, Chinese copying everything, not only 8800, but everything, ALMOST every brand in particular their Read More...

I know there are other guides warning about fake N95 being sold through eBay. The purpose of this one is to keep up with the current level of sophistication that some of these fake devices reached. Up until a few months, it was easy to identify a fake Nokia N95. They usually had a different name (NOKIR or NOKLA), touchscreen and that characteristic grid on the bottom of the screen. Nowadays, it’s virtually impossible to distinguish between an original N95 and a copy. If you search fRead More...

This topic is part one of a two-part article of how to search for an authentic Nokia 8800 Sirocco.  The second part has pictures for illustrations and comparisons.  Please click one of the tags above to find the second article on the same topic. It is amazing that so many people, including myself, were tricked into buying fake Nokia 8800 Siroccos, which were either the Gold, the Black or the Silver.  It took many mistakes and losses of lot of money to learn to identify an authetiRead More...

Well, as i am sure you are all aware the “copies” of the Finland made N95s are no longer all that easy to spot. nokLa is no longer present, the buttons match the first version of the n95, the camera has a screen protector, no touch screen, etc. The primary difference is that wifi and gps is no longer present. I purchased my n95 (made in china) for 205 after shipping. To be quite honest, my only concern is that the phone isn’t a quadband phone (in the listings it was listed Read More...
