I was looking for a TaylorMade R7 SuperQuad on Ebay. The SuperQuad retails for $399.99 in all stores. I found several “Buy Now” deals for as little as $250.00. There were even people selling the heads only for $175.00.
Most, if not all of the auctions with headRead More...

I have become somewhat of a reluctant expert on Taylormade Tour Burner counterfeits. After nearly getting burned (no pun intended) by a seller who was drop shipping counterfeits from China I was fortunate enough to buy a legitimate authentic Tour Burner from an authorized reseller. The experience has left me much more aware of all the counterfeits on Ebay and how to identify the obvious fakes. The Tour Burner, unlike the Tour Burner TP comes with only 1 stock Taylormade shaft, that shaft is Read More...

Thought I should put a warning out to anyone thinking of scoring a good deal on eBay. I recently bought a set of TaylorMade CGB Max irons and a CGB 3-wood on eBay from different sellers. Both sellers had excellent feedback, which I think is a testament to how good the fakes are!
Serial numbers are no guarantee either, mine both checked out with Taylormade. These clubs look almost perfect and the only way you can really spot the fake is if you hold it side by side with a real one.

Could i warn everyone about fake Taylormade Drivers and irons bought off Ebay, I have been working in the Golf industry for over 10 years for the past 6 at Taylormade Golf Europe itself, In recent month`s the number of fake clubs has increased amazing amounts for every 50 clubs that get returned faulty, 25 of them are fake!!!!!
These counterfeits are amazingly good and will fool most people, even your local pro!!!!
There are genuine sellers on ebay but please be careful, Always get a sRead More...

I asked TaylorMade themselves to comment on the SuperQuads currently on sale on Ebay.
In addition to the response below, a pro has also informed me that SuperQuads ‘DO NOT’ come with shiny paint.
They are powder coated with a semi-matt finish. If you can see your face in it you’re looking at a mug.
Add to this the fact that all of the TM & TaylorMade writing on a SuperQuad, & all other TaylorMade drivers for that matter, is embossed.
This means that it is very easy Read More...

Note there are some very good FAKE Taylormade R7 CGB drivers currently. They look as if they are coming from UK but are actually sent from China. Unfortunately you will not notice many of these things from pictures on Ebay and they will only be apparant when seen directly when you recieve club and you compare with TM original. If you do buy a club then you should note the following and check what is delivered against a bonafide TM with your local authorised dealer :

Yes, OK, I admit it, I fell for one of the fake club scams. So, I want to share my experience with others so they do not fall foul of similar scammers on eBay.
A lot has been said about fake golf clubs in other guides that I read (too late) here, so just a couple of things to pick out from them, and add to myself:-

1 – check ALL feedback from seller to ensure it is recent, as a seller of similar items and not from similar profile IDs (i.e. low feedback or recent setup)
